The pre-construction phase is where we plan each project before the actual construction begins. We start with a design, budget, engineering, and architectural plans. Then we develop our plan for assignments, resources, and expectations. We lay out a detailed plan of how we are going to start, build, manage, complete and control each project from start to finish before we begin.
Pre-Construction
Design
Great projects start with smart designs. We work with our existing plans and develop new plans as needed. We have multiple architectural design resources we pull together to develop a plan that suits the project requirements. We also incorporate engineering as required into the design phase of the project.
Specifications
We take time to specify all of the components of each project. There will be specifications for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, cabinets, exterior finishes, interior finishes, etc. Every category of construction will have specifications and selections identified during the pre-construction phase.
Budgeting
The initial budget is created during the pre-construction phase. This is a general breakdown of cost by each item in the construction project. This budget is then used while creating the detailed cost estimate which becomes a working document in the project.
